The main reason why I chose IELTS is because IELTS measures the
ability of four skills to communicate in English. Another reason is
because IELTS registration procedure in China is very quick and
convenient. Candidates have many test dates to choose. I took IELTS
on Nov.25th,2006 and got score 6.5 without taking any training
courses. Finally I was admitted by PhD programme of University of
Georgia. It provided me USD10,000 assistantship.
