IELTS | Institutions - How do we become a recognising organisation?

To register as an IELTS recognising organisation and to take advantage of all the benefits offered by IELTS, follow these three steps:

1. Set a minimum IELTS score for your applicants. For advice, see How do institutions set their IELTS requirements?

2. Include the IELTS score in your recruitment and marketing material.

3. Register your institution with us free of charge on the IELTS Global Recognition System. Complete the IELTS Recognition form and IELTS will check your details and then add your institution to the Global Recognition System.

What are the benefits of becoming a recognising organisation?

By being listed on the IELTS Global Recognition System, your institution will have exposure to millions of potential candidates worldwide.

The TRF Verification Service is an online service which gives institutions access to a secure database through which candidates’ results can be checked for authenticity.  Please note, this service is not available to organisations providing additional services to clients such as recruitment agents, travel agents, legal and immigration agents.

  • Electronic bulk downloads of results

Recognising organisations can also register for the free, electronic bulk download of candidates’ results. To find out more about the e-downloads service or to apply, please visit Download IELTS results.
